Helping Dogs

ShelterWave Mission Summary

Objective:
Help stray, abandoned, or injured dogs by funding and supporting volunteers who care for them.

Key Roles

  • Dogs:
Stray, abandoned, or injured. Rely on volunteers for survival and care.
  • Volunteers:
Individuals (full- or part-time) who provide:
    • Shelter
    • Food
    • Medical aid
    • Vaccinations
    • Lifestyle improvements
Volunteers require funding to cover both dog-related expenses and their personal living costs.
  • Users / FK9 Token Holders / Donors:
    • Increase the value of the FK9 token by holding and trading it.
    • Participate in the governance process by voting on fund requests.

How the System Works (Flow Overview)

  1. Volunteers submit a fund request
    • They explain how the funds will be used (e.g., food, medicine, shelter construction).
  2. FK9 token holders vote
    • If approved, the system releases funds from the treasury wallet.
  3. Funds are sent to the volunteer
    • Volunteers convert FK9/ADA to fiat in their local country.
    • They use the funds to care for dogs.
  4. Accountability
    • Volunteers must show proof (e.g., receipts, photos).
    • Their Trust Score increases based on community approval of their actions.
  5. Impact
    • Dogs get help.
    • Volunteers are supported.
    • Token holders contribute meaningfully.
